"There is so much to love, but my top 3 things are how they get my gear onto the boat and set it up for me, being able to take as long as I want on the drop off dive, and being able to walk out to the front yard whenever I want to."
- WJohnson

"Thank you each and everyone one of you that work at CCV for a very great vacation. There aren't many places I want to return to for vacation, let alone twice. But I'm looking  forward to my return in 2014 for the third time." - MClairborne

“Combine the perfectly adapted highly customized boats for local conditions, the serendipity of its location, the perfection of the "wet rooms" for gear storage- it's really hard to surpass…”
- RDAdelman

Nature Made It Beautiful - We Make It Easy

CoCo View's reputation as the easiest place for scuba diving in Roatan, Honduras isn't luck. Our dive staff work hard at jobs they love to make your diving experiences as effortless and enjoyable as possible. Everything from our "Front Yard" orientations to the personal attention you receive from your Dive Master and Boat Captain is intended to make you feel safe and comfortable in our diving paradise.

Our dive shop (Dockside Dive and Photo Center), compressor room, air tanks, Nitrox, and Dive Masters are all conveniently located on the boat dock. Your dive equipment is also kept on the dock, stored in large lockers only steps away from your boat. Plentiful clean water rinse tanks and showers are located there, too.

Simplifying the pre-dive preparation and the post dive clean-up is one of the best attributes Coco View Resort offers. Experienced "CoCo Nuts" and first time guests all agree - diving in Roatan just doesn't get any easier than with CoCo View!

Orientation Dive Policies

Every diver on their first visit to CoCo View, or if you have not been to the resort in the last 5 years, is required to go on an orientation dive in the Front Yard with a CoCo View Dive Master. This shore dive to the Prince Albert, Newman’s Wall and CoCo View Wall is for your safety and is to show you the only safe cut through the coral reef, it also will orient you so that that you will be able to find you way back from the drop dives, shore dives and night dives. This orientation dive will typically be the morning after your arrival day and will be in lieu of the morning boat dive.

Rental Gear must be reserved in advance (click here) to insure availability.

For Guests Arriving On Saturday*: Every Sunday morning there is a General Orientation about the resort, which includes information related to the Resort, Dive Shop, Photo Video Shop, weekly activities and an overview of CoCo View’s dive operation. We request that all guests attend this general orientation, after which, returning guests may dive that morning from the boats.

Dive GuestsGuests who have not yet had an orientation dive will join one of our dive masters in the gear rooms for a dive in our “front yard”. This orientation allows you to re-familiarize yourself with your diving gear and refresh your skills and more importantly you will learn how to navigate the only safe entrance and exit through our reef system for shore dives. During this dive you will also see the Wreck of the Prince Albert, Newman’s Wall, and Coco View Wall.

*The General Orientation and Dive Orientation will be scheduled based on your arrival date - typically the morning following your arrival.

Roatan, Honduras Scuba Diving: How it Works at CoCo View

Your dive package at CoCo View Resort typically begins Sunday morning (or the morning after your arrival day) and includes the island's only 24/7 unlimited beach diving. Sites accessible from shore, day or night, include CoCo View Wall, Newman's Wall, the wreck of the Prince Albert, and the CoCo View Channel. These sites are boat dives for other resorts on the island.

Two boat trips daily include a one tank dive at a moored dive site with an optional "drop-off" dive on the route back to the resort, for up to four boat tanks daily. On a drop-off dive, your boat will heave-to, and guests who have requested a drop-off tank will exit. The boat will then continue to the marina and divers can follow the wall back to our beach on their own.

During the week you may be offered some optional Roatan diving trips for an additional cost. Weather permitting, we offer two local, all-day trips to the island’s West End and East End (Port Royal). These trips include 3 tanks, with lunch provided.

Your CoCo View dive package includes unlimited tanks of standard air; however Nitrox is available for an additional charge. Nitrox can be purchased ‘by the tank’ or as an unlimited package for a flat fee.
